Jama HR Express is recruiting Aircraft Maintenance Engineers – Mechanics (AME-M2) for a leading aerospace and defence contractor in British Columbia. In this bargaining-unit position, you will perform aircraft maintenance, repairs and overhaul while maintaining safety, regulatory and quality standards and supporting the development of junior technicians.
Key responsibilities
- Perform repairs, modifications and inspections in accordance with customer work packages, Transport Canada regulations, the Technical Airworthiness Manual, quality-control procedures, standard operating procedures and approved maintenance manuals.
- Work within the scope of the certification authority assigned to the position.
- Complete all maintenance paperwork, repair documentation and required reporting accurately and on time.
- Coach and support junior technicians so work is completed safely, efficiently and accurately.
- Follow company health, safety, attendance, security and workplace-conduct policies.
- Maintain approved quality-control standards and safe work practices.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Required qualifications
- Aircraft Maintenance Engineering certificate approved by Transport Canada or the applicable governing body.
- Transport Canada AME-M2 licence or a recognized equivalent qualification.
- At least 48 months of experience performing aircraft maintenance engineer duties.
- Knowledge of aircraft manufacturing, maintenance, repair and modification practices for mechanical systems and components.
- Fluent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Basic computer skills, including word-processing, spreadsheet and database applications.
- Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status and eligibility for Controlled Goods clearance.
Preferred qualifications
- Previous experience coaching or providing technical guidance to junior technicians.
- Relevant aircraft-type endorsements or experience in aerospace and defence maintenance programs.
Compensation and benefits
- Base pay of $37.58–$46.07 CAD per hour, with increases governed by the applicable Collective Agreement.
