Jama HR Express, in partnership with AI Talent Recruiting Agency, is recruiting an AI Implementation Project Manager for a manufacturing client in the Lower Mainland, British Columbia.
You’ll learn how the business works, identify where AI or automation can help, and lead projects from assessment through implementation and adoption. You’ll work closely with shop-floor and office teams to deliver practical, measurable improvements.
Key responsibilities
Meet with teams in production, estimating, sales, purchasing, and administration to understand their work.
Map workflows, systems, repetitive tasks, delays, and sources of rework.
- Assess where AI, automation, or existing software could improve efficiency, accuracy, or service.
- Prioritize opportunities by value, feasibility, available data, cost, and risk.
- Develop project plans with goals, timelines, budgets, owners, and success measures.
- Coordinate pilots and implementation with internal teams and technology partners.
- Test solutions with employees, gather feedback, and improve them before rollout.
- Provide documentation and training to support adoption.
- Measure results, including time saved, fewer errors, faster turnaround, and service improvements.
- Safeguard confidential information and ensure accuracy and appropriate human review.
Required qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in project management, process improvement, digital transformation, operations technology, or AI implementation.
- Experience taking a technology or automation project from assessment through rollout.
- Familiarity with AI tools and automation, including their strengths and limitations.
- Strong communication, process mapping, project planning, and change management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with shop-floor and office teams.
- Sound judgment about what to automate and where human expertise is essential.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing, metal fabrication, ERP systems, or production environments.
- A relevant degree, diploma, or project management certification.
- Proven results and practical implementation experience are highly valued.
