Location: Richmond, BC
Role Overview:
The Apprentice Machinist sets up and operates machine tools to cut, grind, or modify materials with precision. The role involves reading blueprints, computing dimensions, and assembling machined parts, while ensuring maintenance is carried out professionally.
Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret engineering drawings and plan machining operations.
Measure and lay out workpieces, fitting and assembling machined parts.
Verify product dimensions for accuracy using precision tools.
Set up and program machine tools for other operators.
Compensation:
Apprentice wage: 65%-95% of the Journeyperson rate ($45.90/hr) based on training level.
Additional tool premium: $0.20/hr.
Hours:Monday to Friday, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm
Qualifications:
Completed Machinist Foundation course. Ability to read and follow diagrams, blueprints, and specifications.
Knowledge of machinery, tools, and measuring devices.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Develop and improve manufacturing processes for geotechnical instruments at RST. Work with teams to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency in production.

Qualifications:

Factory Worker – Extrusion Department
Location: Vancouver, B.C.
Position Type: Full-time, Permanent, Shift Work
Salary: $17 - $22 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule:
Day Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
Back Shift (after training): 3:30 pm – 12:00 am
Responsibilities:
Operate manufacturing equipment (training provided)
Read drawings and work orders, and follow quality procedures
Cut shapes using a press or other equipment and use measuring tools
Pack, inspect, and label products on the manufacturing line
Prepare work orders for shipping and maintain a tidy work area
Work both independently and under supervision
Skills and Qualifications:
Team player with good communication skills
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
Attention to detail and self-motivated
Forklift license and factory experience are assets
